Asbestos
Asbestos is still present in the majority of industrial premises more than 25 years old. The people most at risk are those engaged in building maintenance, refurbishment or demolition work, which includes workers such as painters, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and computer/air conditioning installers who are all at risk of disturbing ACMs and so could potentially be exposed to asbestos fibres.
Permit to Work
Permits to Work are an essential tool for managing high risk or infrequent operations and for some tasks there is a legal requirement to produce Permits to Work.
Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH)
This training course is designed to inform those working on a COMAH site of the processes and procedures in place to prevent accidents. The Learning course outlines the nature of a COMAH site through diagrams, images and instructions.
