Course Details:
This Introduction to Neurodiversity in the workplace course provides you with great level of awareness alongside valuable insights you can put into practice straight away.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Aspierations, a leading not-for-profit helping bridge the employment gap for neurodiverse talent. They work with both employers and employees offering support, guidance and expert knowledge around neurodiversity and help employers attract, recruit and retain high-functioning autistic talent.
Neurodiversity is used to explain the variances in the human brain as it relates to an individual's ability to learn, socialise, hold one's attention and function mentally. Neurodiversity can include people who are Autistic, Dyspraxic, Dyslexic, Dyscalculic or who have ADHD or Tourette's.
The inclusion agenda has made organisations more diverse, but not necessarily neurodiverse. Diversity of thought is crucial for businesses in several ways such as access to sought after expertise, building a more creative work culture and a faster route to innovation which is essential for competitiveness.
Join a number of neurodiverse characters who will share employment challenges and how they can be alleviated in the workplace for mutual benefit. The course includes plenty of opportunities for the learner to interact and have a little fun.
Alongside this, the course identifies how to overcome employment barriers; particularly recruitment, onboarding and making reasonable adjustments in the workplace.
